Luggage Arrived........Day at the Pool!

Well, our luggage FINALLY arrived yesterday morning at about 9:30am, can't tell you what a relief it was to both of us to have our clothes, never been so excited to have luggage! Anyway, after we got our stuff, we unpacked, changed and immediately headed for the pool at about 11am. It was pretty hot and humid so most the time was spend in the water, had a couple drinks and just relaxed for the day. I went over the ocean later in the afternoon and did some swimming too. The sun took a little bit of a toll on both of us as our shoulders and back are pretty red so now we look like the tourists who didn't put enough sun block on :-) Oh well, still a great relaxing day. We came back, took a nap, went out to dinner at this great Italian restaurant in the hotel, then headed back to the casino where we proceeded to donate more money back to Marriott, not much luck in there for us so we will be staying away for a while. We scheduled a couples spa....yes, a couples spa on Tuesday and have a boat trip to Nevis planned for Monday. Had some breakfast this morning, now just getting ready to head back out to the pool for a few hours, have a Miami Vice or two and have another nice relaxing day. I can't post pictures on this blog site because of the computer we are using but we will try to upload some on our Facebook soon.

Welcome to South Beach!!

Well, we have arrived in Miami just a few minutes ago......our flight this morning went by very fast because we just passed out on the plane.......maybe it was because we finished our spring cleaning at 1am.....Lara took a short cat nap this morning.......got to the airport this morning at 3:30.....yes, 3:30, ticketing and security didn't open till 4:15, we were the first ones through security and Lara set off the alarm with her earings and our camera bag had to be inspected......oh yeah, we held up the line, now just waiting on our flight to St.Kitts, can't believe we are only hours away from paradise, we will post some pics tonight.

Preparation Mode!!!!

It's less than 12 hours before we begin our journey to St.Kitts in the Caribbean, we have been looking forward to this for months and I have been looking forward to an actual vacation for 6 years......my last one was in Scotland, not tropical to say the least so going somewhere where I can just plop down on the sand, drink something fruity with an umbrella in it is going to be great! Tonight is all about getting ready, finish packing, buy a few more things at the store, deep cleaning of the house, spend some time with the pups before we go, make our lists for Lara's parents.....I'm sure I'm missing something but we will probably figure that part out after we take off from D/FW airport tomorrow at 5:30am.
